01what it is

A mobile web app that helps students new to Chennai settle in: everyday Tamil, travel costs and places to go.

02what i built

The full app in Next.js on Vercel: Tamil phrases for real situations with pronunciation, a fare comparison across train, bus, metro and auto, and a guide to places with cost and crowd levels.

03challenges

Many phones have no Tamil voice, so the app falls back to an approximate pronunciation instead of going silent. And there's no sign-up wall: it works as a guest from the first tap.

04what i learned

Building for one specific person in one city makes a product far more useful than building for everyone.

01what it is

A tool that shows whether NIFTY options are cheap or expensive, by working out the volatility each option's price implies.

02what i built

An NSE data collector, a Black-Scholes-Merton engine that solves for implied volatility and the Greeks, a database of daily snapshots, and a Streamlit dashboard with the volatility smile.

03challenges

Real market data is messy: untraded, tiny or stale quotes give nonsense results. Each one is filtered out with a clear reason, and the collector copes with NSE blocking automated requests.

04what i learned

Markets don't follow the textbook: at-the-money volatility was about 8.6% while far puts were above 70%. And a "cheap" signal is only as good as the quote behind it.

Prices a full NIFTY option chain every run, with 99 tests passing.

I’m driven by the questions behind the answers, the patterns behind the numbers, and the strategy hidden within complexity.

I don't chase complexity for its own sake, but when I find something worth understanding, I strip it down to the foundation. My instinct is to break things down, not to overcomplicate, but to understand them deeply before rebuilding them in a better way. Whether it's a problem, a person, or a system, I start with the smallest moving parts and work my way up, connecting threads until the bigger picture becomes clear.

I work best alone at first, not out of isolation, but focus.
I'm most alive when asking: Why is this the way it is? I want the why, the how, and then the what's next.
I want to create something that outlasts me, ideas that outlive me, frameworks others can expand on. I'm drawn to people who can think independently, speak with clarity and depth, and devise solutions in real-time.

I’m still learning, still building. I don’t think ideas are meant to end with the person who creates them. If something I create sparks a thought that someone else takes further, that, to me, is a meaningful impact.
